From all who I’ve talked about this with in the past, the uncertainty of the journey is what keeps your life adventure exciting. It’s the idea of not being sure of where you’re going to be at that keeps you on your toes - but sometimes, like now, I want some stability.

Right now, I’m going to have to disagree with all of those before me who celebrated uncertainty.

In reviewing my student debt, current financial status and current career status a lot of the wide, open adventures - the twists, turns and blind corners - I once asked for, I would gladly turn down for some straight, clear path. I think my anxiety comes from the question “Will this be enough to make everything alright again?”

It’s really one that I can’t answer.

Will this CC nursing degree guarantee my ability to stand firm and independent at age thirty? Will taking out more loans hurt my existing debt?

I don’t know - and that’s a scary thought.

All those nice things and hobbies that used to lull me gently to sleep have lost their charm.
